He Touches Ministries International
Jesus said, the Spirit of the Lord is on me, to preach good news to the
poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, and recovery of
sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of
Lord's favor.
The time has never changed as now we still see many of the sick, the
captives, the poor, the broken hearted, that need someone to help them in
their miseries, and lead them to the only One who has the true answer to their
problems.
Thank God for this high-tech era, because it makes us so much easier and
cheaper to bring people to the knowledge and love of Christ. What we are
doing here is simply to write short messages, record them into 10-15 minutes
audio files, and copy 33 files of them or so into a CD. We put the name in
this CD: 33 SPECIAL MESSAGES FOR YOU. There are also songs, poems, and
document files of the messages for printing in the same CD.
In the first edition of the Indonesian Version, we presented 33 messages,
titled:

And we are in the process of making the recordings in at least 9 local
languages in Indonesia that will cover many parts of our region from west to
east. An offer in translating our messages into any language is always
welcomed with many thanks. And we encourage our Asian partners to take parts
in this ministry, by translating the English version of the messages
(available soon) into your own languages. Afterwards, you can also use this
website with us to develop the works of HTMI in your own countries.
FINAL WORDS
I like this little story about John Newton that I quoted from Words For
Today. "One night he awoke and found his cabin filling with water, the
ship's side had collapsed. Normally that kind of damage sinks a vessel
within minutes, but a buoyant cargo bought them extra time. John heard
another sailor shout, "We're all goners!" and his life flashed before him.
In that moment he repented and gave his heart to Christ, a prayer he might
easily have forgotten, given the ship didn't sink that night. Instead he
remembered it long after he retired from the sea to -- become a minister and
writer of verse. Little stories tell big stories, and the big story here is
the hymn Newton wrote symbolizing his conversion to Christ. "Amazing grace!
How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost but now am
found, was blind but now I see..." The grace that saves us is unfathomable,
we'll never understand it. That's why the last verse of the hymn says, "When
we've been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun; we've no
less days to sing God's praise, than when we first begun.""
We too now, can be a sound to be heard by someone out there who is about to
sink and crying out for help, so that the big story may be repeated all over
again, sung by people who finally know, that the grace of the Lord is there
for them too.
